Mady Roussat

PhD Student

Mady is a first-year PhD student supervised by Dr. Divyangana Rakesh and Prof. Paola Dazzan within the Medical Research Council–funded Doctoral Training Partnership in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding the impact of structural and social determinants on brain development and risk for psychosis in children and adolescents. Specifically, her current work investigates the impact of social policies on psychotic-like experiences in young people, using neuroimaging techniques and data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study.

Prior to starting her PhD, Mady worked as a research engineer at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience (IPNP) in Paris under Prof. Krebs, and as a visiting scholar at Stanford University under Prof. Supekar. She received an MSc in Neuroscience from Sorbonne University and an MSc in Brain and Mind Sciences from University College London (UCL). She completed a double BSc in Biology and Philosophy at Sorbonne University and the University of Chicago.
