Juliette Tinch
Undergraduate RA
Juliette Tinch is a second year undergraduate student in Neuroscience and Psychology at King’s College London working as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr Rakesh. Her research interests centre on how environmental factors influence brain development in childhood and adolescence. She is particularly motivated by research that integrates neuroscientific work with social policy, exploring how to promote healthy brain development among youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Her current research uses large-scale data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study to identify protective lifestyle factors that can buffer the association between socioeconomic disadvantage and brain outcomes in adolescence. By examining the roles of sleep duration and engagement in extracurricular activities, her research aims to provide insight into potential intervenable pathways for supporting brain development.
