
Dr. Dimitris Tsomokos
Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr Dimitris Tsomokos currently focuses on child and adolescent mental health and developmental psychology. He works as a part-time Postdoctoral Scholar in the Rakesh Lab where his research focuses on how childhood adversity and socioeconomic disadvantage influence children’s brain and mental health outcomes. He has a special interest in social threat perceptions and their role in mental health.
He is the Director of Alphablocks Research Lab, which seeks to bridge the gap between empirical research on child development and early years education. Prior to this, he conducted fundamental research in theoretical physics and complex systems, such as large-scale networks. He has also worked at Oracle, where he contributed to the development and commercialisation of personalisation technologies and other automated solutions for global businesses.
